With the #vagabundoflex we have built our dream house, a flexible two-storey tiny house in timber frame construction that meets the highest quality standards.
Already during the design and concept phase we thought about the interior and the decision was made quickly. Located in the same district of Waldeck-Frankenberg and only 42 km from Twistetal. The more than 200-year-old traditional company Thonet, which was already able to produce bentwood furniture in the 19th century, still builds chairs, tables, sofas, accessories as well as garden and terrace furniture today. Each product is made by hand in a complex manufacturing process and lives on for its customers for generations.
We build the Vagabundo Tiny House with the same expectations. In terms of construction, our Tiny Houses are built according to the same principles as a conventional wooden house, for living for several generations. The vagabundos are individually made in our own family business. Made in Germany is still a very important predicate when it comes to expertise and craftsmanship, because this is where the wheat separates from the chaff.
The art is to keep living space minimal while creating a great sense of space. Nature serves as an extended living room, so that inside and outside become one living space. In the end, the pieces of furniture that breathe life into the house are decisive for the right balance between design, functionality and living comfort.
Our initial contact with Thonet was very cordial at first and we felt very valued as neighbors. We immediately noticed the intersection of the same company values such as design, quality and durability.
Thonet furniture now completes the #vagabundoflex model house, which is currently in the English Garden in Munich. Not only the products from Thonet, but also the Vagabundo Tiny House should be preserved for several generations.
